Like many municipalities in the area, due to the weather, more salt and sanding isbeing  done.  Thus, the anticipated amount ordered must  be monitored  for usage and future use, so at times it is used sparingly.   This means that salt and sanding is done when needed and the decision as to when, where, and the amount must be taken into consideration.  Lower traffic roads and  cul-de-sacs may receive reduced treatment and could remain icier for longer periods.  Road conditions will continue to be monitored, and response will be effective as resources allow. Please use extreme care when driving, slowing down sooner allowing extra stopping distance or sudden braking.  Use extreme caution on bridges, intersections, and shaded areas.  Give snowplows and salt/sanding trucks space to do their work.
